One of our favourite trends this summer was the classic monochrome black and white, you simply cant really go wrong with it. Black being the universal flattering colour on all and white being rather fitting for the current heat wave, I couldn't help but make a post on how i style my personal favourite monochrome trend 'the black and white stripes'. For me i normally associate the black and white with winter so, to make it seasonally appropriate I paired monochrome with neon, because the stripes were just not bright enough.
For outfit 1, I paired my striped H&M trousers with my white Zara tee, black New Era Snap back and my coral Zara sandals. The simple white tee make the outfit very casual and tones down the stripes. the Zara sandals, already being a summer favourite for many gave the outfit its pop of colour. Forcing your feet in to heels on a summers day is never a fun experience but the Zara sandals in my opinion slip on like a treat and they are one of the most comfy heels i have worn.
For outfit 2, I paired my H&M striped skirt with a loose fitted Top from Topshop and for accessories I teamed the outfit with my vintage bracelet and Mango Bag. The striped skirt is a good way of sporting the monochrome trend as it keeps you cool in the heat. The skirt is a light stretchy form fitting material.
For outfit 3, I am wearing my striped cotton shorts from Forever 21 with my neon orange crop top from Topshop. the shorts are high waisted and loose, making them perfect for the summer heat. To tie an outfit together I usually throw on a hat. Snap backs are perfect for hiding from the sun and protecting your hair. I always find its important to not only be fashion forward but practical.
