Forever Floral

After my recent visit to the Hampton Court Flower Show my infatuation with natures finest has insinuated a need for even more floral in my closet. The iconic pattern that continuously infiltrates our wardrobe from one spring/summer to next just seems to never go out of style.

The event held floral displays of movie stars such as Marilyn Monroe and classic 1940's dresses. The overly effeminate garden dress reminds me of the extravagant Floral Skirts of Dior’s spring/summer 2013 collection. Floral prints are typically worn to identify ‘the girly girl', however designers such as Erdem who showcased floral trousers on acid extinguished the ‘garden party’ stereotype.

Top - Topshop, Skirt - Topshop, Belt - Primark, Shoes - Converse
For my outfit I incorporated the trend with a floral crop top with a cross over back, paired it with a white Broderie Anglais skirt, tan lattice weave belt and converse.
