Christmas Stocking Fillers

As Christmas is approaching, I thought that I would share a few items that I think would be great stocking fillers. These products are not hard to get hold of if you are in need of a quick gift this Christmas!
Top Left: 'It' by Alexa Chung,  Butter London Duo Of Rosie Lee and La Moss, NARS Duo Eyeshadow Silk Road, Alexander Wang Prisma croc-effect leather coin purse, Jo Malone Red Roses Cologne
'It' by Alexa Chung, a book full of Alexa's writing, doodles and photographs. This book would be great for someone that is interested in fashion and style. The book is full of photographs and inspiration, making it a perfect all round gift and one that I would like to find in my stocking!
The Butter London nail duo includes an oxblood red and a glitter polish that looks festive and can be worn on their own or over each other. These nail polishes are available in a wide range of colours and provide great pigmentation.
Another stocking filler could be a Nars eyeshadow duo. They are highly pigmented in colour and look stunning.
A little coin purse is always helpful in a woman's handbag. And the Alexander Wang Prisma coin purse looks gorgeous in the croc-effect leather with gold hard wear. There are numerous purses that are functional and also look stylish that could be placed in a stocking this year.
Lastly, Jo Malone's Red Roses Cologne is a fragrance that has a blend of seven of the world's most exquisite roses and is a clean and sheer fragrance. This scent is one that sounds delightful and I think would be happily received in a Christmas stocking.

Box Park Trip

Yasie and I both love venturing out to see what London's shopping has to offer, having not yet visited Shoreditch High street we thought it was about time we visited Box Park's Pop Up Mall. Its located right outside Shoreditch Station and only a bus ride from Waterloo!
with independently run food and clothing stores and well known brands like Mink Pink, Hype and One piece it was a unique shopping experience. My favourite pieces were the Luxe sweatshirts and beanies on offer.

London Fashion Weekend Part 2

For the second London Fashion Weekend post i thought i would share with you the Maybelline A/W makeup that i received at LFW including tips on how to apply the products and swatches along with necklaces from a independent company called Flash Trash.

Yasie and I both picked up Star sign necklaces at the event. Being born in August and Yasie in April, we picked up the Leo and Aries star signs. Above is the star sign for Leo. This exact necklace is also owned by Cara Delevingne and if you couldn't already tell i'm slightly Cara mad!
Maybelline put together a variety of products to create what they describe as the A/W look. they have focused in on deep berry shades and bright purples.
Maybelline's Brow Drama is a dark brown sculpting eyebrow gel. It sets your eye brows well leaving good colour. The product doesn't feel wet or dry hard leaving you with heavy brows. Its as easy as running it through the hairs like a brush and it stays on all day. It retails for £4.99
Tips: apply light coat and build, don't apply heavy handed its easier to add than to remove.

Maybelline always wins me over with their mascaras, you cant really fault them and for £4.99 its definitely worth the investment. The great thing about 'The Great Lash' would probably be how small it is, i can carry it around easily on the go. It gives great fully lashes and for me it doesn't tend to clump.
Tip: Build up your coats for a fuller overall look

Maybelline brightened up their look with adding a pop of colour to the nails. This deep purple shade is very flattering on all skin types and the application wasn't bad only needed a couple coats. costs £2.99

I have never owned a real berry lip shade before so when i received this lipstick from Maybelline i was excited to try it out. i was highly impressed with the pigmentation of the lipstick as well as the lasting colour. It is however alot more pink toned when swatched and once it has set on your lips it become less purple, nevertheless i still really love the shade. It retails for £7.19
tip: apply lightly as it goes on quite dark and only a little colour is needed.

Finding the perfect eyeliner is not always easy but for £5.99 this 'Master  Smokey' eyeliner by Maybelline ticks the correct boxes. With an attached sponge applicator you can smudge out your liner how you like. The eyeliner goes on dark and smoothly with no tugging or folding on the eye lid.
tip: for a more winged look take the liner out to the outer corner of your eye and use a eyeliner brush to achieve the perfect wing rather than using the pencil straight or trying to smudge it out.

London Fashion Weekend - Part One

This Sunday Lara and I visited London Fashion Weekend at Somerset House and here is part one of our experience. We had a great time looking at the pop up stores, attended a few fashion talks and even got a 360 degrees Canon picture taken. This is our second experience at London Fashion Weekend and it is definitely a great event that is enjoyable to visit.
